The POA is currently working to create a part time Community Safety Liaison position to periodically patrol Hilltop Lakes Facilities and Amenities. We are also working with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) to establish a Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) to outline a plan for increased Sheriff’s office presence. While this work is in progress, we are also seeking seriously interested volunteers willing to commit and attend a community Neighborhood Watch workshop presented by the LCSO who will provide guidelines and ideas for creating this new organization.

If you are interested in volunteering to improve, the safety and security of your surrounding neighborhood area, we are seeking committed volunteer representation from each major neighborhood of Hilltop i.e. Airport, Golf Course, Ranchettes, Lakes, ABC Streets, etc. to be successful.

While a date for the workshop has not been set, possible target dates are: Thursday, July 18th or 25th  and August 1st. The workshop will be one hour, 11:30 – 12:30. Bring your own lunch. Desert, water and soft drinks will be provided.

Volunteers committed to taking on a “leadership” role in their respective neighborhood are requested to submit their RSVP via email to Mike McMullen at Mike.McMullen@HilltopLakes.com . Please indicate which date works best for you, the neighborhood you wish to represent and provide your physical address. We will set the date based on the one that will garner the most attendance.
