4th of July RV Parks
About 250 years ago, a country broke away from the world. A monarch, King George III, ruled over them with a tyranny they wouldn’t accept. A group was soon formed, and they fought for freedom. Many, many people fought and died for freedom.
Their sacrifices did not go in vain, and soon the Declaration of Independence was written. On July 2nd, 1776, it was fully composed. Two days later, on July 4th, the declaration was signed by many famous Americans. It was on this day that America became a country, and we gained independence from Great Britain. And now, 250 years later, America still remains a strong country.
Independence Day is a day to remember the sacrifices that went into forming this country. Because of them, we are allowed the freedoms we have today—including the freedom to celebrate!
4th of July Festivities
Hilltop Lakes has a variety of festivities for the 4th of July RV parks. Every year, we put on a parade, filled with firetrucks, classic cars, candy, and lots of fun! Uncle Sam is there, throwing out special prizes to everybody there! The parade runs through the streets of Hilltop, and people are dressed patriotically, ready to have fun! Come and join Hilltop’s Freedom Fest this Independence Day for a day of excitement.
Each year, Hilltop Lakes puts on a parade. Filled with all sorts of costumes, candy and cars, the parade is fun for the whole family! That day, we also have a big barbecue feast! Various chefs and master grillers open up booths, where you enjoy anything from spare ribs to chicken.
It opens up at 9am, and closes at the awards ceremony at 2:30pm. If you’re interested in being part of the Barbecue fest, you can Sign Up on our site.
This year, we’re also having a photo contest—the Yankee Doodle Dandy 2022 Photo Contest. Just send in a photo of a younger person in your family, dressed patriotically, and you’re in! The Rules are simple, and applying is easy. Submit your photo today!
