HILLTOP LAKES WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION
The Hilltop Lakes water supply system is owned by the residents of Hilltop Lakes through a non-profit, non-taxing, member-owned water supply corporation. Organized under the laws of the State of Texas, the Water Supply Corporation (WSC) is managed by a five person Board of Directors, each elected to a two-year term of office. Elections are held the first Thursday of March each year, with two directors elected in even numbered years and three elected in odd numbered years. Board meetings are held at 4:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, in the WSC Board Room at 21 Hilltop Drive and are open to all members. Each property owner owning a water meter at Hilltop Lakes is a member of the WSC, and entitled to one vote on the election of Directors.
The Hilltop system derives its water from wells on Hilltop Lakes’ property, drilled to a depth of about 500 feet in the Queen City Aquifer. All water is disinfected and delivered to members via a hydro-pneumatic system. Normal operating pressure is 50 pounds per square inch; the system typically delivers about 7 gallons per minute to each meter. Water samples are collected and tested as prescribed by State Rules and Regulations as currently administered by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Results of both chemical and bacteriological testing are available for review at the WSC office.
Water bills, which include the monthly garbage disposal fee, can be paid by U.S. mail, in person at the WSC office, in the drop box in front of the WSC office located at 21 Hilltop Drive or by credit card or echeck. Information and/or assistance can be obtained by calling the WSC office at 936.855.2995.
